About me

My name is Ali Afrasiabi, and I am incredibly grateful to be able to do work that I consider truly sacred. Walking alongside my clients as they navigate their lives is extremely rewarding and a blessing. I came to this work by way of my own trials and tribulations in life, so I know how challenging it can be to come to therapy and face challenges head on. I needed help along my own journey, and I am so grateful I was able to find someone who cared about me as I navigated my challenges. Good rapport is a vital aspect of the transformation process, and I aim to provide the same compassion and empathy for my clients.

I completed my undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of California, Irvine, where I learned about the foundations of life, and specifically became interested in how the systems of the human body affect behavior. This formed the framework for the emphasis I put on self-care in creating positive outcomes for my clients, and how I see psychotherapy and coaching as a whole; a process that heals us through affecting the mind and body. I continued my education at Antioch University in Seattle, where I received an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

My approach to my work is founded on humanistic principles. I also incorporate mindfulness and somatic approaches into my work.

CONNECTION is my MISSION. Whether in my work with individual clients or leading group sessions, I believe connecting with ourselves, others, and nature is vital to living a fulfilled life.
